Grapefruit Toddy

tablespoons superfine sugar
1 2-inch cinnamon stick |
1 teaspoon
whole cloves
6 cups grapefruit juice |
Combine
sugar and spices in a saucepan, stir in the
grapefruit juice and heat slowly. Pour into
6-ounce mugs. Makes 8 servings. |

Buttered Rum

1/2 gallon
vanilla ice cream (softened)
1 pound butter (not oleo) |
1 pound
granulated sugar
1 pound brown sugar |
Mix all
ingredients together well. Store in freezer.
To serve: 2 tablespoons batter
into cup; add rum to taste, and fill cup with hot
water. Serve with a vanilla bean and a sprinkle
of cinnamon. |
Cinnamon
Coffee

1 teaspoon
ground cinnamon
Ground coffee to make 12 6-ounce coffee servings
Enough water for 12 6-ounce servings |
Long
cinnamon sticks
6 tablespoons whipped cream
Ground cinnamon |
In the
basket of an automatic drip coffeemaker, add 1
teaspoon ground cinnamon to ground coffee and
brew coffee with water following manufacturer's
directions. To serve, pour cinnamon coffee into mugs.
Place a cinnamon stick in each. Top with a dollop
of whipped cream and sprinkle lightly with ground
cinnamon. |
