Spiced Tea Mix

1 (3 ounce) package lemon-flavored ice tea mix
2 (1.8 ounce) packages orange-flavored drink mix
1 1/3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground cloves
Combine iced tea mix, orange flavored drink mix, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves. Store in an airtight container.  To serve, stir 1 1/2 teaspoon mix into 1 cup hot water. Makes 6 ounces.

Peach-Papaya Yogurt Smoothies

1 cup cold skim milk
1 cup vanilla lowfat yogurt
1 peach, peeled, pitted, cut into chunks
1 peach, peeled, pitted, cut into chunks
2 packets "Sweet One" granulated sugar substitute
ice cubes, if desired
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Add some ice cubes for a very cold beverage, if you like. Makes 3 servings, 1 cup each.

Salty Lassi

1 cup unflavored yoghurt
1 teaspoon salt
1 teasoon ground cumin
3 cups ice water
Combine the yoghurt and salt in a deep bowl and beat vigorously with a whisk or spoon until the mixture is smooth. Beating constantly, pour in the ice water in a slow, thin stream and continue to beat until all the ingredients are well blended. Taste for seasoning. (A quicker, though hardly traditional, method is to combine the yoghurt, cumin, salt and ice water in the jar on an electric blender and blend at high speed for 1 minute or until the mixture is smooth). Pour the lassi into a chilled pitcher and serve it from chilled tumblers. If you like, you may prepare the drink ahead of time and keep it chilled in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Serves 4.
